Magellan Midstream Partners Staffing & Recruiting Specialist in Tulsa, Oklahoma
The Staffing and Recruiting Specialist is responsible for sourcing, pre-screening, recruiting and interviewing job candidates to fill existing and future job openings through consultations with management, visits to college campuses, etc. This position will assist with maintaining metrics such as time-to-hire and provide data to Human Resources for compliance reporting. In addition, this position will support systems, procedures and methods to support the Human Resource function. Responsibilities:
Screening, recruiting, interviewing qualified candidates, assessing talent and skills of applicants, and referring qualified candidates to hiring managers.
Schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers and participate in panel interviews as requested.
Develop and execute recruiting solutions such as internet sourcing, direct sourcing, networking, and job fairs. Review media and weekly ads to identify trends and prospects.
Working with hiring managers to identify specific talent needs.
Assist Supervisor of Staffing and Professional Development by attending collegiate job fairs to maintain a presence at local universities.
Develop and maintain a diversified pool of candidates for placement in open positions.
Follow up with internal and external telephone calls from candidates and people interested in open positions.
Establish and maintain relationships with internal and a variety of external recruiting sources, and develop and maintain interview guides for hiring managers.
Maintains flexibility in changing processes to support the overall business objectives, including but not limited to union bid processing.
Utilize Magellan’s applicant tracking system for tracking the status of candidates, sources, interviews, offers, and decline. Assist in maintaining metrics such as time-to-hire and cost-per-hire, measure the quality of hires over the longer term. Assist in providing data to Human Resources for compliance reporting.
Drive and champion Magellan’s Diversity and Inclusion strategy by proactively reaching out to sources to increase the diversity of candidates within our talent pool.
Demonstrate a willingness to be flexible and assist other groups within HR as needed.
Five years of recruiting and staffing experience preferred. Will consider internal candidates with related competencies.
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
