Magellan Midstream Partners Operations Analyst in Tulsa, Oklahoma

Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborates with operations and business leaders to understand management objectives and to identify relevant data and metrics related to achieving those objectives (e.g, Key Performance Indicators, etc). Sets parameters and requirements for data to be gathered; develops dashboards and reports reflecting agreed to data, to include coding to pull from source data within company’s business analytic software (e.g., QlikSense); validates collected data through testing, independent judgement, coordination of subject matter expert review(s) and reporting. Selects computational or data collection methods to be used in research and analysis. Applies validation and testing models to data.

Manage assigned projects/initiatives, which will be primarily Operations related. Examples: utilize existing data to determine current percent compliance with SIP and identify (using data) opportunities to increase compliance percentage; identify opportunities to utilize data to remove recurring tasks from specific assigned positions (e.g., Supervisor, operator, technician).

Based on data analysis, assists with and/or creates, develops, and implements business methods and procedures. Prepares and distributes or delivers reports that identify, explain, and evaluate problems and available solutions.

Work with leadership to ensure alignment on current and future Operational opportunities, annual outcomes, and KPIs.

Commensurate with experience, the selected candidate will either be placed at an Operations Analyst, or an Operations Analyst Sr. Final pay and grade will be commensurate with background skills and experience

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma and minimum 4-8 years’ relevant experience (Operations Analyst)

  • High School Diploma and minimum 8+ years’ relevant experience (Operations Analyst Sr.)

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Additional requirements: The ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing in English with co-workers, supervisors, internal and external customers; the ability to work in stressful conditions; the ability to adapt and respond in changing circumstances; the ability to use a personal computer with the Windows® operating system to complete time sheets, send and receive email, and access information posted on the Company’s intranet; availability as needed to work on both a scheduled and call-out basis; and the ability to work at the assigned job site.
