Job Profile Summary
Provides consistent directions around quantity and quality measurement for the Measurement Processes for Natural Gas or the Natural Gas Liquid systems assigned. Responsible for business partner interactions with accounting, commercial, scheduling and operations.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Supervise various operating areas to improve measurement accuracy and repeatability to achieve balance/over & under goals as established by operating areas
Develop personnel associated with quantity and quality measurement so procedures and processes are in place that are not dependent on one person’s specific knowledge
Support the knowledge management contained in the measurement manual as well as other tools for collecting knowledge and information
Monitoring of standards and industry changes that impact the company measurement processes
Support to improve accuracy as reflected by the Over & Short or Balances through:
Timeliness on monthly closing processes
Accuracy of volume reporting
Accuracy of Quality Measurement
Scheduled completion of pertinent work
Support installation and operation of measurement facilities to ensure:
Appropriate measurement equipment is in place and available to accomplish accurate measurement
Measurement equipment is designed to meet necessary objectives
Processes and systems are in place to report timely and accurate figures to customers
Coordinate and/or communicate with Operating group on projects and operations
Compile, prepare, and /or verify information including but not limited to:
Meter design
Balance (Over & Short) reports
Meter operation
Customer tickets
Manage commercial aspect of Measurement including but not limited to:
Resolving claims from third parties involving Measurement
Developing and negotiating commercial terms for Measurement in commercial contracts
Conduct training session
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, business administration, other related field or an equivalent combination of formal education and the following job related experience
Work Experience
Experience in measurement operations
Experience and training related to:
Electronic measuring/testing devices
Company/governmental operating and safety procedures
Communications skills/customer relations
Experience in construction, maintenance, and operation of pipeline system and appurtenances
Experience in use and function of tools and equipment applicable to position including accessing computers and applicable software
Experience reading and interpreting manuals, reports, governmental regulations, job orders, contracts, drawings, plats, maps, policies, procedures and correspondence
Experience in researching, compiling, and/or preparing job orders, reports, budgets and correspondence
Experience interacting, advising and communicating effectively
Experience training, directing, and/or supervising and working knowledge of personnel policies and procedures
Experience developing information and conducting group and individual presentations
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to: apply math and algebraic formulas
Ability to: communicate and/or exchange information or instructions effectively including the use of: computers, phones, radios

$122,000.00 - $182,000.00
