JOB SUMMARY

The Technician is responsible for providing operational, electrical, and mechanical support for area assets. Successful applicant is responsible for a variety of tasks involved in troubleshooting, testing, maintaining, installing, and repairing equipment within an assigned area. Will consider entry-level or journey-level to further develop.

Wages will be commensurate with skills and internal equity among peers.

Work Schedule: 7-4 Monday through Friday, with overtime and after-hours/weekend callout as require

Job Profile Summary

Inspects and maintains various electrical/electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, analyzers, measurement, control and automation systems, and related equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide the primary technical support for assigned location(s):

  • Maintain a working knowledge of company policies/procedures as they relate to the operation/maintenance of the assigned assets.

  • Perform routine testing, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all assigned mainline and facility equipment/systems, including but not limited to: pumps, electric motors, electrical equipment, electronic instrumentation, measurement systems, piping systems, valves, various flow meters, and similar other equipment and systems.

  • Complete and maintain required documentation/records associated with performed maintenance and repair.

  • Manage location projects, troubleshooting pipeline and facility equipment, installing new equipment or modifications of existing equipment.

  • Perform other functions as requested by the Supervisor

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

  • Must maintain valid state driver's license and a good driving record and display good driving habits.

  • Must live within a reasonable distance from assigned assets.

  • Able to gain access to all refineries in both Harris and Galveston counties.

  • Previous pipeline or equivalent industry experience preferred.

  • Vocational/technical training is preferred.

  • Strong computer, written and verbal communication skill

This position is subject to the port security regulations set forth by the Transportation Security Administration and United States Coast Guard. $72,000.00 - $108,000.00
